SoTL for Faculty Professional Development

I recently began a new position as a pedagogical advisor in the Center for Teaching Support at the Haute école pédagogique in Vaud.  One of our offerings for faculty member support is assistance with research on the scholarship of teaching and learning.  While traditional pedagogical support and professional development often is seen as workshops and conferences, engaging in research on one’s own teaching is another form investigating and then working to improve one’s teaching practice.
