Dr. Rachel C. Plews works in the educational development field in Lausanne, Switzerland.  Her areas of expertise include pedagogy and andragogy, self-directed learning, technology-enhanced learning, and other domains of adult learning and leadership.  A graduate of the doctoral program in Adult Learning & Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University, Dr. Plews aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice by working with higher education faculty members on important issues surrounding the work as next generation educators.
